View, add, and delete attachments
Overview
Files can be attached to work by doing one of the following:
- Uploading them from the mobile app.
- Adding them directly to the web app.
- Adding them directly to the CRM job record.
They are synchronized for immediate viewing.
Different file formats can be attached, including PDF, DOCX, XLSX, TXT, JPG, PNG, and audio files.
Note
The maximum file size for attachments is 25MB.
Errors can occur if the attachment filename contains special characters, for example, %
, *
, —
, /
, \
, |
, and ?
. If you receive an error, make sure the file name contains only alphanumeric characters and then try again.
View and add attachments in the web app
View attachments
To view attachments in the web app, click the Attachments tab on the Work details page.
Open an attachment
To inspect the contents of an attachment, click on its file name.
Most file types can be displayed directly in the browser. However, some need to be downloaded and then opened in the appropriate application.
If you are using the old job details view, the attachments can be found by clicking the paper clip icon in the right-hand menu.
Add attachments
To add attachments:
- On the work details page, click Attachments.
- Click on the shaded box labeled Drag and drop area or browse and then select a file. Alternatively, drag and drop a file into the shaded area to upload it directly.
Delete attachments in the web app
To delete an attachment, click the X icon to the right of the file name.

The ability to view, add, and delete attatchments is controlled by the Job attachments permissions. See the user role documentation for more information on how to make changes to the permissions, if required.Related links
